Terrible forest fire in Turkey / More than 180 people injured

Turkey’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry announced today that at least 183 people have been injured so far in a devastating forest fire.

According to Sputnik, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bakr Pak Demirli said in a speech on Thursday: At least 183 people have been injured in a forest fire in southern Turkey so far.

Local officials said in a statement: Two aircraft, 15 helicopters, six bulldozers and 106 fire engines are involved in extinguishing the fire.

According to the Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, he said: Fires were predicted due to the heat, but unfortunately started on a large scale in one day and it takes time to fully control the fires.

It is worth mentioning that at the same time with the fire in Manavgat forests of Antalya province, a large fire started in the forest areas of Adana province yesterday and the firefighting operations are continuing from the ground and air.

The NTV channel shows thick black smoke in the vicinity of residential buildings.

The fire was reported to have started yesterday afternoon and due to the strong wind, the flames spread rapidly and spread to more areas.
