Israeli cyber network kneels before hackers again / Israeli train company database hacked

While the Israeli prime minister was talking about Israel’s cyber capabilities, hackers seized a number of official sites of the regime.

The information base of the Calcalist newspaper reported in a report in this regard that, one of the important sites shut down as a result of this cyberattack and the site owned by the Ministry of Health, which caused the sites of Rambam, Asota, Hadasa hospitals in Jabal al-Musharraf and Hadasa hospitals to be unavailable at the same time. The sonol and iDigital sites were also attacked in Israel, and the Malam Tim host database was hacked.

According to the Hebrew-language media, the cyberattack began yesterday, Tuesday, and in addition to hospitals, information bases belonging to municipalities and fuel companies in Israel were also targeted.

According to the Israeli media, the assessment of cyberspace experts shows that the cyberattack was probably actually carried out by Iranian hackers, but at the moment they have no reason for it.

The report said that one of the deadliest blows has been the hacker attack on Malam Tim, one of Israel’s largest IT companies, which has hosted a variety of customers in cyberspace.

Their most important customers are the Israeli Electricity Company as well as the regime’s railway department, while various healthcare institutions are among them.

On the other hand, contradictory information is published by the Israeli media about the volume of cyberattacks on this regime.

While some media outlets refer to 18% as the number of sites attacked in Israel,  an Israeli expert stressed that the average number of sites attacked by cyber in Israel in 2020 is close to 50%.

CBS television reported, citing a report by the Israeli cyber network, that this year about one in five Israeli companies will be attacked by cyber and electronics.

The media quoted the head of the National Cyber Agency of Israel as saying: These attacks sometimes cause data to become inaccessible, sometimes all information is stolen and in some cases the entire database is destroyed.

The Israeli expert admitted: Monitoring shows that cyber-attacks against Israeli companies have spread rapidly, and although some companies have succeeded in stopping them, even cyber-defense measures have been costly for Israel.

Speaking at the Internet Week ceremony at Tel Aviv University, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett stressed that Israel is seeking to establish a global organization to combat cyberattacks.

The Israeli Prime Minister while claiming that earlier in the day, more than 47 percent of Israeli high-tech companies were attacked electronically, and the outbreak of the Corona virus has greatly expanded the scope of cyberattacks, said Egal Ona, head of Israel’s electronic network, who was the previous speaker.
