OPEC Plus has not made progress in resolving the dispute between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates

Reuters quoted sources in OPEC Plus as saying that the group has not yet made any progress in resolving the dispute between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which led to the failure to reach an agreement last week on increasing or decreasing production, which raises the possibility of a meeting to determine a new policy.

Sources told Reuters that Russia was working behind the scenes to return to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for a negotiating table and find a way to an agreement, but the Russian source did not expect a meeting to be held this week on Monday.

The dispute between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates became public last week as an agreement was reached to increase production from next August.

Oil prices are currently approaching their highest level since 2018 due to the market inventory deficit, and will increase if there is no agreement.

OPEC Plus disagreement leads to cancellation of talks to increase production after several days of talks.

Last week, the White House said he was following talks between OPEC and its allies.

During a call last Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Joe Biden discussed the issue of OPEC Plus or oil prices.

In a joint statement today, Saudi Arabia and Oman called for continued cooperation between OPEC and its allies.
