A spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement stressed the need to stand up to the Zionist regime and resort to power.
The spokesman of the Islamic Jihad, Tariq Salmi, said that the duty of the resistance forces and all those who have weapons is to confront the Zionist enemy.
“Palestine Today” news site quoted Salmi as saying: “It is not possible to stop [Zionist] attacks on cities, villages and camps on the [West] coast through begging and negotiation.”
At the same time, he said that the only way to counter the Zionist attacks is to confront and use power, and that this was the only way to deter Tel Aviv.
In this regard, “Yusuf al-Husaynah”, a member of the political office of the Islamic Jihad, said that the movements, organizations and militant groups and the Palestinian resistance are the symbolic and spiritual capital of the Palestinian people and the Islamic Ummah.
Al- Husaynah emphasized; the path to national unity is dialogue and partnership between all parties in interaction with the current stage as the stage of national liberation; in such a way that in this stage, relying on national rights and undeniable principles, attention is paid to the reconstruction of national authorities and its adaptation in accordance with the stages of liberation.
The Islamic Jihad official stressed that one should not hope for a mirage of compromise with the Zionist enemy, saying: All the experiences and data show that the settlements of the Zionist regime are the biggest and most dangerous challenge that threatens the national aspiration of Palestine now and in the future, because this regime seeks to dominate all of Palestine and displace its owners.
He emphasized: The Palestinian people can achieve victory with unity and resistance, and real participation for all Palestinian groups is the shortest way to achieve the national ideal and get rid of the occupiers.
