The source added: The aggression, ordered by top US officials, once again demonstrates the recklessness of US policies and the need for its aggressors to withdraw from Iraq in response to the demands of the Iraqi people and legal institutions.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry official emphasized: These attacks increase the intensity of tensions in the sensitive situation in the region and prove what we have said many times, that the US military presence in the region is primarily to serve the goals of Israel and the separatist powers and is in conflict with the interests of nations.
The source concluded: The Syrian Arab Republic reiterates its call on the US government to respect the territorial integrity of the Syrian and Iraqi peoples and to immediately stop such attacks on the independence of the two countries.
Al-Hashd al-Shabi in Iraq announced in a statement today that at 2 a.m. today (Monday, June 28), US warplanes targeted three locations of al-Hashd al-Shabi forces (14th and 46th Brigades), 13 kilometers inside the Iraqi border, in the city of al-Qaim in western Anbar province.
According to the statement, the attack resulted in the martyrdom of four people who were carrying out their usual duties of preventing the infiltration of ISIS elements from Syria into Iraq.
These forces were operating under the command of the Iraqi Joint Operations and were not involved in any activities against the presence of foreign forces in Iraq as the Al-Hashd Al-Shabi Organization has repeatedly emphasized.
The statement stressed that, contrary to the Americans’ claims to justify this crime, there was no arsenal, weapons depot or anything similar in the attacked areas.
