China’s response to the situation in Afghanistan; The United States should withdraw its forces responsibly

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said in response to the unrest in Afghanistan following the withdrawal of US troops: The United States, as the largest foreign player in Afghanistan, has an undeniable responsibility for the current situation in Afghanistan.

“Zhao Li Jian” said in a press conference on Wednesday: The US military must step out responsibly to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan during this transition period to prevent further unrest and suffering for the Afghan people by terrorist forces and damage to regional peace and stability.

Reports indicate that since the beginning of this year, civil strife in Afghanistan has intensified, terrorist attacks have occurred continuously, and the security situation in the country has become more complex.

Zhao said: Twenty years ago, the United States sent troops to Afghanistan in the name of fighting terrorism while fighting al-Qaeda and the Taliban. At the same time, it has inflicted heavy casualties on Afghan civilians, and now, 20 years later, the security situation in Afghanistan is still complex and appalling. The issue of terrorism has not yet been resolved, but the United States has suddenly decided to withdraw its forces from Afghan.

Two months ago, the Taliban seized more than 60 cities in various provinces of Afghanistan, according to field reports, at the same time as the withdrawal of foreign troops, or in some of them it is still heavily involved with government forces.

Yesterday, the Taliban continued their attacks by capturing 6 cities in Balkh, Kunduz and Orzegan provinces, crossing the security belt of Mazar-e-Sharif city, and published a photo of the entrance gate of this city in cyberspace, which has caused concern to the people of this city.
