The President of the Republic of Algeria, in an interview with the Al Jazeera Network, explained his position on various issues, including Palestine, Libya, the internal situation of Algeria, the Western Desert, and the African countries.
Abdul Majeed Tabon, President of Algeria, said in an interview with Al Jazeera: Algeria’s position on Palestine is unchangeable.
He added: All Arab countries agreed on peace on the mainland but at the moment there is neither peace nor territory, so what is the reason for normalizing relations with the Zionist regime?
Tabon continued: Our position on the Western Sahara has not changed and we do not allow the fact to be done under any circumstances.
He further emphasized: Algeria is subject to conspiracy because it is a country that does not allow conspiracies against the Arab world.
The Algerian president also spoke about Libya, referring to its previous positions: We said that Tripoli is a red line and this shows our position and the message has reached everyone. Algeria was ready to intervene to prevent the fall of Tripoli to the mercenaries. We opposed Tripoli being the first Arab capital to be occupied by mercenaries.
“Tabon” further referred to the instability in Mali and the West African countries after Libya.
The Algerian president called the recent exercises in the country a guarantee of readiness for any unexpected event.
In a conversation with Al Jazeera about the internal situation in the country, he also expressed his views and added: We overcame the danger phase with the support of 13 million Algerians, a phase that saved the country from the fifth term of President Abdulaziz Bouteflika and the extension of the fourth term. The peaceful popular movement backed by the security forces and the army won.
Tabon emphasized: Bundy tried to take advantage of the former president’s illness to seize power for another five years. The gang stole hundreds of billions of dollars abroad.
He considered the recent march in this country as ignorant and without coherence of thought in what is demanded and slogans.
