Occupying forces arrested a female civil activist in Jerusalem

Occupying Zionist militants arrested Mani al-Kurd, a Palestinian civil activist, at his home in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Al-Kurd, 23, was taken to an unknown location by Israeli forces.

Palestinian sources also reported that Mani al-Kurd’s brother had been summoned for questioning; Al-Kurd is one of the Palestinian families living in the Sheikh Jarrah area that the occupiers are seeking to expel from the neighborhood.

Tensions between the Zionists and the Palestinians began on May 7 this year, following attempts to evict some Palestinian families from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem; Tensions in the following days led to widespread demonstrations in occupied Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, and the occupied West Bank, with Israel launching air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip on May 10. Hamas and Israel agreed on May 21 to establish a ceasefire.
