Twenty-eight US senators have called for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas

28 US senators signed a statement calling for a ceasefire agreement between the Zionist regime and Hamas.

According to the information base of the Congress, as Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip continue, 28 Democratic senators have issued a statement calling for an end to the fighting and a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

According to the report, John Osof, a Democratic senator from Georgia, was one of the main authors of the statement, along with Dick Camera, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate, but Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer the House of Representatives, which believes that Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip were only in self-defense, refused to sign the statement.

The statement said: We call for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further civilian casualties and to prevent escalation of the conflict in the Palestinian territories.

The senators’ call for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas comes as the Biden government opposes a joint statement by the Chinese, Norwegian and Tunisian governments at the UN Security Council calling for an end to the conflict.
