They paid tomans for the received checks, after which the gang members sold the signed white checks.
The Director General of Intelligence of East Azerbaijan announced the discovery of 62 thousand and 359 billion Rials of economic violations in the province and expressed: Last year, this group has completed 15 cases in the field of combating macroeconomic, administrative and smuggling of goods with a value of 62 thousand and 359 billion Rials and a value of 5.3 million Rials, and in this regard, 54 people were arrested and 64 people were summoned and 84 people have been summoned as informants or part of the case by the General Directorate of Intelligence.
Referring to the continuation of the process of following up and dealing with currency violations, he announced the legal action of the General Directorate of Intelligence with a violating exchange office and announced the value of this case as 5 thousand billion Rials.
He continued: “Last year, a network of marriage loan violators was discovered in East Azerbaijan; The members of this gang, with the cooperation of some offending bank employees, had given 428 marriage loans of 15 to 50 million Tomans worth a total of 100 billion Rials to non-eligible people.
He reminded: with the follow-up of the General Intelligence Office of the province in the last 2 years, 246 billion Tomans of tax collection has also taken place in East Azerbaijan.
The Director General of East Azerbaijan Intelligence announced the discovery of 230 tons of chemical fertilizers by this institution last year, adding: During this period, the anonymous soldiers of Imam Zaman (as) also discovered 9,000 miners with a daily waste of 250 million Tomans from the treasury due to electricity theft in the province by convening several meetings of the monitoring and action committee, and with the cooperation of responsible agencies, especially the governor and NAJA.
He considered taking soft measures in the field of combating macroeconomic corruption, administrative and currency smuggling before hard measures and said: In this regard, last year, 41 hectares of government lands in the town of Khavaran, valued at seven thousand billion tomans, were returned to the treasury.
The Director General of Intelligence of East Azerbaijan also announced the discovery of 21,000 tons of smuggled wheat in the province, which was not registered in government systems last year.
In response to a question about the activities of dual national managers, the Director General of East Azerbaijan Intelligence noted: We do not allow a dual citizen to take a position in the province, and recently the “dual citizen advisor” of one of the directors was fired, and we certainly do not allow a dual citizen to work.
