The fuel crisis in Britain; London issues temporary visas to compensate for driver shortages

The British Prime Minister has said that he will review immigration laws to deal with the driver shortage crisis.

According to the international group Pak Pak Sahaft News Agency, quoted by Reuters, The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson said in a statement on Saturday: I will review immigration laws, and we will probably issue more temporary visas to deal with the driver shortage that has caused severe fuel shortages in this country.

According to the report, Britain announced last week that it would issue temporary work visas for 5,000 foreign truck drivers and 5,500 poultry workers.

The large number of British drivers infected with the Corona virus and being quarantined has caused the country to face a fuel shortage crisis.

As of Friday, many fuel stations in the UK were facing severe fuel shortages. Although Boris Johnson’s cabinet ministers have claimed that the fuel shortage crisis has largely subsided, retailers say more than 2,000 gas stations are still facing severe fuel shortages.

British Cabinet ministers met to discuss how to resolve the shortage of more than 100,000 truck drivers.

Critics say the British government has not made the necessary predictions to prevent the current situation, and there is even a possibility that fuel sales will be quota in the coming days.
