The Zionist regime, seeing the defeat of its American godfather in Afghanistan, remembers its defeat in the Battle of the Holy Sword, so it launched a new air strike and fired missiles from southeast Beirut, attacking areas around Damascus and Homs, Syria.
This new treacherous aggression of the occupying regime is part of a well-planned criminal policy aimed at prolonging the terrorist war against Syria. This regime sees its existence in danger due to the increasing spirit of resistance in the region.
In the 11-day battle of the Sword of Quds, great victories were achieved against the occupying regime. In addition, Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah announced that an Iranian ship carrying fuel would sail to Lebanese shores. This is a strong blow to the US-Israeli plans in Lebanon, forcing them to withdraw from their position for the suffocating siege of Lebanon.
In the wake of this turbulent situation, the Zionist regime, seeing the situation in Afghanistan and the failure of the United States to help its allies in this country, committed this aggression against Syria to prove its power. However, this attack also failed due to the confrontation of the Syrian air defense and the downing of the major offensive missiles.
In contrast, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that an SA-5 missile fired by the Syrian air defense pursued an Israeli fighter in the Syrian airspace. According to the newspaper, a Syrian missile made by Russia and based on the S 200 defense system was able to shoot down the fighter on the Jordanian border.
Undoubtedly, the aggressive behavior of the Zionist regime in the air strike on Syria is one of the tools of this regime to create tension in the region. Syria therefore reiterated its call on the Security Council and the Secretary-General of the United Nations to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard and to take serious and immediate action to prevent a recurrence of Israeli aggression on Syrian soil. In addition, the Syrian government called for its prosecution for the terrorist crimes of the Zionist regime.
Lebanon, whose airspace was used to attack Syria, complained to Israel about its violation of its airspace by “Amal”, representing the UN representative, and called for the occupying regime to refrain from committing such violations.
Accordingly, the result of the blatant aggression of the occupying regime is that first, its weakness in the development of Syrian air defense was proven, and second, the myth of the regime’s “invincible army” was completely destroyed. In addition, it was proved that the continuation of the Zionist regime’s terrorist aggression will not succeed in disabling or intimidating the Syrian people and its army and their allies, and will fail to deter them from fighting the American and Israeli terrorist arms in the region.
